Abbey Medieval Festival Wrap-Up | 11 & 12 July 2026

What a simply fantastic way to celebrate 35 years of the Abbey Medieval Festival!

The Brisbane Monteverdi Ensemble was so glad to be involved with this amazing event again in 2026. We really couldn't believe how many people stopped to say hi, who caught up after seeing our Pifferi band at the gates, and then came to our Stag Inn performances! We love sharing this incredibly rich, diverse, and seemingly endless world of early music with you all.

To the organisers, volunteers, and staff at the Abbey, thank you for having us and the over 1000 reenactors, and congratulations on such an incredible event.

Our thanks also to the Early Music Society of Queensland (EMSQ) for their support and loan of some rather special instrument for our display!
